Let's make the text on your Android phone a little easier to read. It's quick to do, and once you've set it the way you like, your phone remembers it. Start by opening settings. That's the gray gear icon on your home screen or in the app drawer. If you don't see it right away, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and look for the gear icon among your apps.

Next, scroll down and tap display. Or sometimes it's called Display and Brightness. Then look for font size. On some phones it may say font size and style. If you'd rather not scroll, you can use the search bar at the top of the settings screen. Just type font size and it'll take you right there. Now use the slider at the bottom to adjust the size.

Hold your finger on the slider. Slide to the right to make text larger or left to make it smaller. You'll see a preview as you move the slider so you can stop when it looks just right for you. If you'd like everything on the screen icons, menus, and text to appear larger. You can also adjust display size. You'll find that in settings under either Accessibility or Display.

Just like before, use the slider at the bottom of your screen until the screen feels comfortable to read and use. That's all there is to it. Your Android will save your font and display sizes automatically. No extra steps needed. Take a moment to open a text message or an email and you'll see the difference right away. It's a small change, but one that makes your phone easier to read and easier to enjoy.

Your phone should work for you, and this is one simple way to make sure it does.
